it’s okay to do things that make your symptoms worse (as long as you’ll stay safe)

every once in a while you need to eat something yummy. or go on a walk. or a trip to the zoo. take a hot shower. cry your eyes out. dance. listen to music. draw for way to long. write. laugh. sit in a cafe with a friend. paint your nails. dye your hair. go on a run. pet a cat

sometimes you need to do things that are cathartic or make yourself feel alive. sometimes you need the reminder of why you’re fighting so hard to stay alive

this is your reminder that just because it makes your symptoms worse, it isn’t always the wrong thing to do. there can be value in these actions

If you think about it too, abled people do it all the time. Deciding to drink to excess at a party knowing they’ll have a hangover. Going to a theme park knowing walking all day is going to hurt their feet by the end. We have the right to make those same decisions.

I just had a bird bump into my window for the first time since I moved here in 2018. It didn’t hit hard and it flew away fine.

Still, I don’t want to risk a real window strike, so I just ordered myself some Window Alert decals.

A lot of retailers and online stores carry them, and they very much do work. It’s worth it. I’ve had them in places I’ve lived before, and the last time I worked at a small office, we had them there as well.

@todaysbird - I know this isn’t about a bird in particular, but this may still be something you want to see.

A bird hit our picture window and it freaked me the hell out so I got some like “bird sticker” type ones that are maple leaves, but I also have those suncatchers that turn the sun into rainbows and I’ve heard those can actually work too?

and you know the rainbows are good for my brain birds

not to be problematic but i literally do not give a shit about age gaps when dating vampires. they thirst for your blood. “but it’s predatory!!!!” yeah. it is. “they’re preying on you!!!” they’re vampires. they do that. “it’s a power imbalance!!!!!!” what part of vampires are you not getting

they eat people and can turn into bats and crawl around on walls, lizard fashion, and can hypnotize you with your eyes. a) the age gap is not the creepy part and b) the creep factor is kinda the appeal

they don’t age. that’s part of the horror of it actually. would you accept eternal life, if you can never progress? can never grow or change? you’ll live forever, eternal youth, but frozen exactly as you are now. you will never become the person you’re meant to be. you are trapped in the mind of a 17-year-old forever. also ‘theoretically old if you disregard the fact that he’s a vampire’ doesn’t even make the top 20 worst things about edward cullen list. girl he’s mormon. prioritize

I was nodding along with this the whole time until that last sentence, which hit me like a folding chair

Because I know this website’s ability to read between the lines is ass, this is directed at people HIRED, PAID or SPONSORED (with money or other perks) to cosplay for promotion of struck properties and studios, whether that be at physical events or online (insta, tiktok etc).
This isn’t about you and your buddies cosplaying for fun at the local convention, so don’t go attacking random cosplayers not actually involved in content creation or promotion for these cretins.

“Read between the lines”? That’s not something that’s implied. That’s just completely separate information.

like yes reading comprehension is bad but that's just fucking rude writer's strike
